Sport

All practices for any sport discipline take place after school from 15:00

Athletics

Athletics season takes place during Term 1 of the school year.  Pre-season practices may start as early as the last term of the previous school year.

7’s Rugby

The school, as of 2019, will be playing 7’s rugby for all age groups. This will be a very exciting time in the school’s history to see how the teams will perform. Regular 15 aside rugby will continue where the boys get to learn skills and teamwork.

Hockey

The school has a senior boys team as well as junior and senior girls teams.  Hockey takes place from February until the second term.

Netball

The school has both junior and senior teams.  Netball takes place in the second term.

Cricket

The school has a junior and senior teams.  Cricket is played in the third term.

Jukskei

This is a team sport and each team consists of 4 players; 4 boys or 4 girls or a mixture of boys and girls. Playing Jukskei is a sport of skill and concentration. Practice starts in the 2nd term.

There are also trails that learners can participate in to make the East Gauteng Junior Jukskei team.  Matches take place during the third term.

Target shooting

Target shooting is an individual sport. Our school has registered 14 shooters annually. Learners benefit from this sport as it helps with concentration.  The sport has 6 trials throughout the year. The Provincial Team is ESSU (Ekurhuleni Skyfskietunie). We have consistently qualified with a minimum of 3 target shooters annually.

Chess

Chess is a game of concentration, practice and of strategic skill for two players. Chess is popular amongst learners and takes place throughout the year.
