Our Academic Focus: STEM Excellence
Please note that Springs Technical High School is dedicated to a specialized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum, which begins in Grade 8 and continues through to Grade 12. Our programs are designed to provide a deep and thorough understanding of these essential subjects. You will find that our subject content is heavily theory-based, complemented by practical sessions that directly apply the concepts learned. Please note that we do not offer classes for Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN); our teaching methods and curriculum are specifically tailored to our STEM focus. If you are a student with a strong passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and are seeking a rigorous academic environment, Springs Technical High School could be an excellent choice for your educational journey.
Applications for Grade 8 are open from July 24, 2025, to August 29, 2025.
Please note that placements for Grade 8 are done by Gauteng Department of Education. Parents must submit applications on the admissions website: https://www.gdeadmissions.gov.za/ . The Department will then send you a message informing you where your child has been placed. You will be required to produce that text message from the Department that your child is placed at Springs Technical High School.

Applications for Grades 9, 10, and 11 for the 2026 academic year will open at the end of October 2025. To get your application form, visit our Admissions Office to collect a physical application form directly from the school.

Space is limited, so please ensure your application form is fully completed with all required documents attached when you submit it to our Admissions Office. Don’t forget to complete the submission register and note your waiting list number for tracking. We’ll communicate the outcome once all applications are processed.
